The ISA-girls 07/08!

ISA is a short term for International Solidaritywork, and is a clas at Åsane "folk-higg-school", this year consisting of 14 girls. Every year the clas goes on a studyingjourney. Forme years the clas have traveled to both Botswana and Sri Lanka, and the plan this year was to return to Sri Lanka. But due to the rising conflict on Sri Lanka, we have desided to only stay at Sri Lanka for a couple of days, before we move on to India!

We depart from Oslo at 27.march and are gone for a.p. 4 weeks before we return to Norway. At Sri Lanka we are staying in Negombo, and in India we are first staying in Bangalore, before travelling through Mysore to Cochin.

SRI LANKA: In Negombo we are to attend the official opening seremony of a youth-senter, and contribute with a cultural program (singing, dansing etc.). The creating of this youth-senter is a cooperation with the organisation FORUT, and Åsane Folkehøgskole (Folk-high-school).

INDIA: We travel to India on monday 31.march. In India we are the two first weeks staying in Bangalore. Here we are going to work with the organisation APSA - Asosiation Promoting Social Action. After these two weeks we will leave Bangalore and travel through Mysore to Cochin.
